Treacle Market – Macclesfield

Superb day at Treacle market, Macclesfield on Sunday (every last Sunday of the month). Glorious sunshine all day and the numbers who turned out to shop were tremendous as always. Lots of great stalls with top quality food, beverages, vintage and handmade products and quirky goods. The owl man was there with his enormous eagle owl and there was morris dancing. We were very impresses by a group of enterprising youngsters (aged approx 9) who’d made macrame bracelets in red white and blue and were giving 25% of their proceeds to charity. We got to meet our lovely fb friend Hilary Cottier and her infamous wire fox terrier Tabitha who arrived in her carriage!
